OUR APPROACH
Some young people seem to view math and science as boring “school stuff.” For them, the fun and interesting things tend to happen outside of school, and don’t involve much math or science. Because we want to show as many girls as possible that math and science are exciting, we’re initially choosing an approach that is what we call, “extra-educational”, i.e. one that will seek to reach girls outside of school and where they are more likely to be drawn to what we’ll be offering. We believe that we can be most effective by reaching girls where they are most receptive to our message.
Our approach will thus be to present what we offer via the Internet, mass media and retail. Placing our software technology in appropriate places through channels that young people typically pursue for fun will, we feel, help us be more successful in achieving our mission. Thus, we will be seeking partnerships on the Internet, in media and in retail with whom we will offer products in line with our mission. We think that companies and individual truly interested in products that benefit girls will want to work with us.
Beyond offering beneficial products, we will pursue our mission through other means. To inspire girls to be involved, caring citizens, we will be create events in which girls can participate. We believe this is the best way to learn how much pleasure there can be in giving back to the community.
